The
Montauk Lighthouse offers a beautiful coastline where you can enjoy the fun historical atmosphere of a lighthouse while calming your soul on the rocks by the water. The lighthouse was constructed and opened in 1796. It has been a popular spot ever since.
This rocky beach is perfect for spreading out your
blanket and letting the wind sweep your worries away. It is located in Montauk, New York on the tip of Long Island. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse to take in the view and stop in the gift shop to learn about the history of the structure and snag a nifty souvenir. You can soak up some sun while feeling the coastal breeze on your skin. It is a perfect location for a picnic for yourself or with friends or to take a dip in the water.

Bear Mountain State Park! This gorgeous mountain has so much to offer. Not only does it have many hiking opportunities, but it also offers a cozy inn, many small pavilions for gatherings, and even boat rentals. This is the perfect location for taking in the beauty of the world around you with the whole family.
At Bear Mountain, there is plenty of green space to lay out on a
blanket amidst the beauty of nature. Whether having a picnic or taking a nap under the trees, the environment offers serenity for reflection. Make sure you are taking the time on your journey to take in all of your surroundings. You also may want that blanket as you work your way up the mountain at one of the breathtaking stop off points. The top of the mountain can get pretty windy so it will be the perfect tool to stay warm.
